Nantong, April 5 2017, ZTT Group - leading global manufacturer of cable systems, supplied 3C 220kV submarine optical fiber composite cable to 400MW offshore wind farm project, with a single length of 24.5km. It marks ZTT has refreshed the delivery length record of China 3C 220kV submarine optical fiber composite cable.

Recent years, ZTT has achieved remarkable performance in the field of EHV submarine cable. Based on the advanced production technology and strict quality control, ZTT has successfully developed a new type of long length and EHV 3C submarine optical fiber composite cable, which has been applied to a number of offshore wind farm projects. Furthermore, ZTT has been the only manufacturer who has successfully operated this kind of projects in China.

The location of Binhai 400MW offshore wind farm project is in the areas of inshore coastal waters of north Binhai. The wind farm is equipped with a 220kV offshore booster station, which has located in the middle of the wind farm. The total installed capacity of the system is 400MW, and the scale of booster station is designed according to 400MW. The wind turbine is accessed through 35kV submarine cable, which transferred by two 220kV submarine cables to land centralized control center, after been boosted by 220kV main transformer. ZTT has undertaken the supply of 3C 220kV and 35kV submarine optical fiber composite cable of this project.

17th Dec 2016, ZTT passed two technical appraisals, with its two products which were the world's first "AC 500kV XLPE composite cable (including soft joint)" and China's first “three core 220kV large length submarine optical fiber composite cable (including soft joint)".

The successful delivery of China's longest 3C 220kV submarine optical fiber composite cable, which has further strengthened ZTT’s position of industrial benchmark. ZTT will continue to contribute itself to the development of offshore wind farm in the future.
